01/14/2025 01/14/2025 Meghan Walker Ballard. A new restaurant called Kahlo & Loyal is opening soon at 5608 17th Ave NW. Kahlo & Loyal chef and owner Sheldon Raju grew up in Durban, South Africa. He says the time he spent with his grandfather at a community temple that ignited his passion for Little Prague, a new bakery and restaurant, is officially open for business. Located in Old Town, Little Prague offers authentic Czech-style pastries and also serves traditional Czech lunches and dinners and espresso coffee.
Business was brisk during Tuesday's soft opening. Little Prague is at 801 Second Ave.
